In fall 2009, we opened our Institute of Environmental Science and Technology in Kawanouchi, Tōon City. Since its registration in February 2010 as a measurement certification business under the Measurement Act, the Institute’s work has related to concentrations of substances in air, water and soil.
Deploying cutting-edge analyzers and measuring devices together with highly skilled staff, our Institute, in addition to operating as a measurement certification business, collaborates with other divisions of Oono Associates on investigations, planning and work to protect the environment from complex and diverse forms of pollution.

Oono Associates Rigorous Water Quality Management
The quality of waste water produced by Oono Associates companies is, as a matter of course, analyzed in accordance with statutory requirements. We also voluntarily carry out regular water quality monitoring as part of operations and maintenance for our equipment.
Analysis of waste water from treatment facilities
Effluent and leachate from the Frep Tōon final disposal site are subject to analysis as part of operations and maintenance for this facility.
Bathwater Analysis
For guests’ peace of mind, we voluntarily inspect bathwater at Himehiko hot spring and Takanokono hot spring.
