OK System Removal Method for Preventing Dispersal of Sprayed Asbestos Particles

In March 2010 our OK system removal method for preventing dispersal of sprayed asbestos particles was reviewed by the Building Center of Japan and received certification as a construction technology. We hope that the OK system will become recognized as the standard method for preventing asbestos dispersal during sprayed asbestos removal work in existing buildings.
Purposes of OK System Technology
- To control contamination during removal work by reducing to approximately 10 or fewer the number of fiber particles (including asbestos fibers) in one liter of the air surrounding the work area.
- To ensure the safety of building users after completion of removal work by keeping to approximately 10 or fewer the number of fiber particles (including asbestos fibers) in one liter of the air in the work area.
- Workers engaged in removal work shall, in addition to performing their work in accordance with applicable regulations, ensure safety by taking steps to avoid foreseeable work-related accidents.
